Solicitor, Tim Andrews was diagnosed with Parkinson Disease a few years ago. As a result of the diagnostics he embarked on a project that involved having as many photographer's who's work he admired to photograph him as the photographer's saw fit.
Tim felt that the project, and therefore also the diagnostics, had given him a new lease of life. His positive experience stood in stark contrast to my own experience of Parkinson Disease as I had watched my Grandmother suffer from it for 40 years. I agreed to photograph Time as long as I could combine his experience with my own. In this image Tim's naked and warm coloured flesh represents the new beginning and Tim's positive outlook whilst the bare trees and dark, blue woods represent the more somber experience I had watching my Grandmother become more and more disabled from the disease.
