Working with the lovely Sabrina Ghayour is like working with a friend. It is always lovely to see her and the shoots now always involve a 15 min catch up before shoot start. Sabrina is prolific in her cook book writing, and the undisputed queen of Persian Cooking. After Sabrina’s first book “Persiana”, Persian cooking has become a trend and many have followed suit. Her books are always of the best quality in terms of content and look.
This shoot was however not so much about Sabrina’s cooking, but she was doing a taste test for Observer Food Monthly Magazine. The taste test was to include ‘chips and dips’ from the high street. Picture editor Michael came up with a Tortilla crown and so we finally managed to crown the queen of Persian cooking. The playfulness of Sabrina, hazy light, all contributed to a fun and playful image.
