Jessica Huie grew up in a high rise block in Camden, but is now a successful entrepreneur. Jessica started off by creating the multicultural greeting card company ‘Colour Blind Cards’, followed by setting up JH Public Relations. She is now at a place where she can reflect upon her success and write about how to make things happen. Her book Purpose looks to encourage people to make those changes and improve their feeling of self worth.
This shoot was to take place at the estate where Jessica grew up. The problem was that the shoot was to take place on the rainiest morning of the year, (and we’ve had some enormous downfalls as well as a scorching hot summer). We managed to find some shelter and still see the estate she grew up in as the backdrop and the umbrella became a part of a few of the setups where there was no shelter. A grey backdrop and grey weather, but a sunny Jessica helped brighten the day.
