The rugby player James Haskell posed for this shoot for OFM and their regular feature Life on a Plate. James, a giant of sorts, came into a studio which feels small at the best of times, but tiny with the presence of James. The diameter of James’ arm is about the same size as my head, and I do have a very big head. He was boisterous and everyone present got a bit of jip. Lighthearted banter of course with no offence meant, (or taken as just that as far as I’m aware,) but everyone from the slim, to the hard working, to a strawberry cream flavoured vape, was given a bit of a air time.
James is preoccupied with good eating and has been promoting several diets to stay fit on social media. When asked what food he liked he replied coffee and popcorn. (Popcorn without the sugars and butter of course). So a small coffee cup seemed the perfect contrast to a big man, whilst the popcorn would be a good chance to make a mess. Trying to find a way for the popcorn to bounce out of a pan was not easy. Everything from an air bazooka to flat balls were attempted, but in the end a good few hands filled with popcorn and thrown in the air, proved to be the best way…. ‘Take 96!’
