Celia Imrie

Celia Imrie is probably best known for her many collaborations with Victoria Wood, especially Dinner ladies and “Victoria Wood As See On TV”. To list her many other appearances on TV, film, radio and theatre would be lengthy and probably even exhausting.
Celia was to be photographed with a backdrop giving a nod to French food. What better than Maison Bertaux in Soho? (Well, apart from numerous places in Paris of course…) Celia has just published a new novel, ‘Nice Work (if you can get it)’ set on the French riviera.
Celia was lovely! If you were to close your eyes and picture a British actress of lasting quality then Celia’s friendly eyes and knowing smile would be there, forefront in your imagination. She has class, charm and is welcomingly intriguing. She is still busy with her work in film, TV and theatre as well as writing her book. When we met, she was not far away from boarding a boat to the USA for more acting work. Yes, boarding a boat – romantic and traditional. No doubt she’ll grab hold of the captain and together they will perform a crucifix embrace at the Bow of the ship….
