James Lowe and Bertrand Grebaut
James Lowe’s restaurant Lyle’s in Shoreditch, London is the place to be. Everybody is talking about it. As well as having a varied and amazing menu on every day James invited chefs that inspire him, from all over the world, to do a guest menu on a Sunday and Monday. This has not only been hugely successful but it has inspired James’ kitchen staff and has brought different levels of knowledge to everybody there and everybody who visits. The guest benefit by being introduced to food they may not be used to and of high standard from somewhere else in the world. James is easy going. He’s hard working but not a screaming stress-head (which can often be the way if you’re an over worked chef). It’s a place that is eager to develop, reinvent and explore. It’s that place to go if you like good food – and who doesn’t?
